Same problem for me, my long established method of using
interscoreline = some small or even negative length
to fine tune the distance between staves and the number of staves per page doesn't work any more.
I suspect this has something to do with the use of the latex backend, but at this point I really don't know how to deal with this problem.
Any help appreciated.
