I'm not sure, but I would guess that you have not installed a recent enough ghostscript. The one with FC-3 won't work. You can get the update here: http://lilypond.org/download/binaries/Fedora-3/ghostscript-8.15rc3-0.i386.rpm Han-Wen packaged this for Fedora. Check the News section at lilypond.org about this package.
