This has nothing to do with glissando, but with your use of cadenza. You start it mid-measure, meaning the bar is never filled. Thus the MMR starts mid-measure as well. If you really want to keep the cadenza, tell te MMR to start at zero measurePosition: \relative c'' { \time 3/4 \override Glissando.style = #'zigzag c4 c \cadenzaOn c4\glissando \hideNotes c,,4 \unHideNotes \cadenzaOff \bar "|" \set Timing.measurePosition = #(ly:make-moment 0) R2. } Imho better, use scaled durations: \relative c'' { \time 3/4 \override Glissando.style = #'zigzag c4 c c4*1/2\glissando \hideNotes c,, \unHideNotes \bar "|" R2. } HTH, Harm
