Instead of NonMusicalPaperColumn.line-break-system-details I'd use: \paper { top-system-spacing = #'((basic-distance . 10) (minimum-distance . 10) (padding . 0) (stretchability .0)) } (if no toplevel markup is between) HTH, Harm
