There is s suggestion to run in Terminal: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user on https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/120530 It is related to Xcode crashing by some stray files from different versions.
