Hi Urs, Edution-engraver is great, and page-layout is great. Thanks!
For my case at the moment, I think the page-layout module is the simplest. But I can't see how to get the parts working. In the MWE I supplied, I tried putting the \applyConditionalBreaks in every spot I could, but I can't get it going. I am missing a fundamental point, just bumbling around. Is it that the overall structure of my score with separate book parts does not lend itself to this technique? This paragraph is not very clear to me: With this you can register "break sets" with line breaks, page breaks and page turns and assign them to a label (e.g. score, violinI, violinII, va, vc). Then in the individual part file you'd say \applyConditionalBreaks violinII. If you put that in the parts, doesn't it interfere with the score set when making the score? In any case, I can't get my 'piece.ly' file to compile with that statement, even though it is an included file n the 'score.ly' file. Andrew
