Thank you - this is extremely helpful.
One issue I am still trying to solve: how to get tuplet brackets to
appear as part of the metronome mark.
I.E. triplet eighth = eighth (triplet under the tuplet bracket with the 3.)
Right now I'm doing:
\rhythmMark "" {\tuplet 3/2 {b'8}} {b'8}
I get the tuplet number but no bracket.
Any leads you can offer on this would be greatly appreciated.
