Hmm, sounds like there's some duplicated effort there. In July
2015, we created:
https://github.com/gperciva/lilypond-texinfo
to try to update lilypond-texi2html-init.
Which has not moved since August 23 (2015)!
I just give it a try as texinfo evoluates. Just refer to issue 1000.
