Hi Mike, I replaced \fill-line with \justify-line and it looks much better.
This is mentioned in the change log: http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.19/Documentation/changes/index.html It looks like it causes the space between columns to be equal instead of the centres. This is only available since some 2.19 version.
