That reminds me. I too put \version in my sources and each of my .ily files ready for conversion at some time in the future. When a 2.18.2 source is run on older (or, indeed, newer) versions, does LP behave any differently as a consequence of the \version read as the file is being processed? (ie, beyond mentioning version numbers in the text of any error messages generated.)
