Well, your code is not a minimal example and it does not compile and thus it does not show the error. All I can say for now: I suspect your linebreaking of the strings for the fret-diagram.
Hi Harm, thanks for replying ... what is "a minimal example"? Anything I can do to make things easier ... and yes, it does not compile, which is why I'm here asking for help ;) My normal error messages go like "Hey boy you forgot one o' those brackets again stoopid" (in LP-speak, of course) but this one points to some file (LilyPond.app/Contents/Resources/share/lilypond/current/scm/fret-diagrams.scm:657:42: ) that I haven't even touched.
