Thank you both- turns out that for a (annular or ring finger) the only
thing that works is c-"a" the other two don't work.
As for the 'incomprehensible' thank you Patrick for pointing out the
missing backslash still wouldn't have worked but somehow in the copy/paste
into the email it 'got lost'.

Thanks again- however I still couldn't find this in the docs.....where is
it now because it didn't seem to be in the guitar fingering section.
