I've found some workaround documentation for textheight using lilypond-book, but would like to have it directly in lilypond. Is there any possibility of utilising this again? At the moment the tagline doesn't get printed on a4 portrait, even if I set the printing margins to zero.
That's very strange! By default, the upper end of the tagline should be 11mm above the end of the page. Does your printer really cut that much. If you hadn't explicitly said A4 paper, I would have suspected that you had printed on letter size but not changed the default paper size in your LilyPond file.
By the way, do you print the PS or the PDF? In Acrobat, there's a setting to scale the printing to fit the page.
Anyway, your question made me look again at the lilypond script and it turned out to be easy to change it so the textheight paper variable works again. I will submit the patch to the CVS archive in a minute (both for version 2.2.x and the lilypond-latex script in 2.3.x), don't know when (if) the next 2.2.x version will be released.
