there is a bad link in the INSTALL.txt file released with 1.8.0:

only file wget will retrieve is robots.txt in this case...
the same bad link is also on the website. perhaps the line explaining
$LILYPONDSHARE should also be changed to `/usr/share/lilypond/1.8.*/'?
i also think that the requirement of mftrace, autotrace and t1utils for
creating pdfs should be more emphasised. i was always under the
assumption that mftrace is not needed for creating pdfs, and was
wondering why it didn't work when i just tried making one... :)
