The default SVG backend is not high-quality enough for that, and I don't think we'd want to build the the entire documentation with the newer Cairo backend before it becomes the general default (since the documentation is an important source of testing too). So this will only get feasible after a switch to Cairo as the default backend, but there is no really concrete plan for that currently. However, after that, it would indeed be feasible, and nice to do.
