An idle musing: I think instead of p for last pitch, I think I'd prefer x. Cf c'' p2 c'' x2 For some reason, p looks more like a particular pitch to me than x . Now I am not the greatest fan of q either but that ship has sailed. And I guess there is little utility in c'' ibid2 ... -- David Kastrup
