Starting the next cycle with 2.25.0

Hi all,

after the release of 2.24.0, I would like to prepare the "unstable"
version 2.25.0 soon to avoid it getting too big. I plan to do this
towards the end of this week or some time next week. No guarantees as
to when exactly I will find time 🎄️
