I just uploaded a patch https://sourceforge.net/p/testlilyissues/issues/5231/ https://codereview.appspot.com/337880043/ If it turns out to be a reasonable fix, I don't see any reason anymore to revert commit eee677c480c78d58a5215e246575aa94ba2d1897 for 2.20.
