This reg-test was extended by my recent patch introducing dot-merging functionality for the Merge_rests_engraver. Though, the inconsistence happens at a point where the rest/dots-merging is switched off. I really have no clue how the extended Merge_rests_engraver could have caused this. Also, I would have thought at this point the output should be the same as for: \new Staff << \new Voice { \voiceOne r4. r4 r8 } \new Voice { \voiceTwo r4. r4. } \new Voice { \override Dots.color = #red \voiceThree r4. r4. } >> But even the above is not consistent. So I think Carl is right about the dot column placement algorithm. Although, I've no clue why the dot placement was different in the reg-test in the first place.
