The second change is from the commit immediately before yours,
"Uses special X alignment for instrument names."
Text in a Dynamics line now has its baseline on the reference line of the
Dynamics. This means it will collide with tempo marks (as in issue 3241)
or with text if someone puts text both above and below a Dynamics
\new Dynamics {s_"bb"^"gg"}
Janek was just asking if issue 3241 would appear elsewhere.
"Les Néréides" looks better with the change (and there has a commented
override that would have done much the same!) but I will recommend that
Mike change this detail back, so that below-Dynamics things remain below
the Dynamics reference line.
