Thanks for the report! There was some confusion between the "issue" (object) and "issue_id" (integer). Should be fixed now.
Looks like the instructions for obtaining git-cl in the CG need amending:
$ git clone https://github.com/martine/git-cl Initialized empty Git repository in c:/Users/Trevor/git-cl/.git/ Cannot get remote repository information.
