Yes please -- but it doesn't need to be at the beginning of that section. If you'd prefer, it could be a 2.8 all by itself. And it's up to you whether you want to have something like the doc "syntax survey" (a quick listing of all commands), or just have a cut&paste beginning for the main branch and possibly translations.
