Thanks, Jan.  I'm looking at the committer/author issue right now, but
I'm unsure about how to fix it without duplicating a lot of
information in git-rewrite-authors.sh.

I do think that rewriting committers and authors separately would be
fine, just as long as this works okay with the CVS (and pre-CVS)
history.
