Reinhold proposed a patch for this problem in:

Unfortunately, that website (not unreasonably) appears to delete a
patch that's over a year old, so the patch is lost.
Reinhold, do you still have this patch anywhere, or can you remember
how you solved it and re-create the patch?
Everybody else: maybe we should upload patches to the google tracker
if it's been a few months since any activity. Of course, better
tracking and reviewing of patches might render the "what should we do
with a 6-month-old patch" question moot...
