The double slash doesn't matter.

Hmm.  You need to make doc before it can copy images around, but that
shouldn't be a problem yet.

I really can't reproduce that here.  Are you **certain** that you get
that exact error message -- i.e. there's no /es/ in between
Documentation/web/...  ?

oh wait a moment.  I misunderstood your question about the
double-slash.  Evidently the $l isn't getting substituted correctly.
Mao.

What version of make do you have?  oh, are you using bsd make instead
of gnu make?  Maybe I accidentally used some gnu-specific things.  :(
