I really can't reproduce that here. Are you **certain** that you get that exact error message -- i.e. there's no /es/ in between Documentation/web/... ? ... oh wait a moment. I misunderstood your question about the double-slash. Evidently the $l isn't getting substituted correctly. Mao. What version of make do you have? oh, are you using bsd make instead of gnu make?
