There's no error in 2.12.2 since delete-intermediate-files isn't set by default. I can guarantee if you do a test compile with -ddelete-intermediate-files, you'll get the same error*. I posted a patch to fix this a while ago; Valentin recently added a tracker issue for it (#813). *unless you're using LilyPondTool's Console, then you'll only get the error message the second time you run the file; I have no idea why this should be.
