I had problems with gs 8.63 on Fedora 9, I followed Graham's suggestion on upgrading it to the same Git revision as GUB does (8.65 was not out last time I checked), and it worked for me. I don't know on Fedora 11, because I kept gs binary in my home dir without wondering about it.
