On second thought, please ignore this patch for now. Even though I currently need it, I doubt very many distributions are updating GCC until 4.4.1 comes out, because of all the problems associated with the 4.4 release. Plus, things could change before 4.4.1. In other words, those using Arch Linux *do* need this patch, and I just patched the "lilypond-devel" package in the Arch User Repository, so everything should be okay for a while...
