Hi,

I am very interested in becoming a `Code Janitor', as described on the
call-for-help web page on the lilypond site. I have C++ experience gained
mainly through my degree (mechanical engineering with computing BEng) and
through a few personal projects since, and although I do not have python
experience, I have experience of scripting languages, namely VBScript for Excel
and Asymptote for vector graphics, albeit for scientific applications. Also,
(and perhaps most importantly!) I have been using Lilypond for several years
and am a huge fan, and would like to contribute in some way (and I don't have
any out-of-copyright music to transcribe for the Mutopia project!).

I think I would be very suitable for the position of Code Janitor as I am
rather pedantic about errors when it comes to writing (to wit: I often correct
bad grammar on signs and adverts in the street or in shops, if I happen to have
a pen handy!); even more so when writing code, so I feel I would be very good
at standardising and cleaning up any code that requires it.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Faithfully,

Tim Wilkinson
