I vote for the easiest - let's lose the blank line.

and called like this:

 @seealso

This causes ugly output in the PDF: After `See also', there is an
empty line which sticks out if compared to other paragraphs.  Reason
is the [EMAIL PROTECTED]' command which is usually followed by an empty line.

I see various solutions:

 . The easiest one is to not have an empty line after @seealso.

 . Use @firstparagraphindent, probably be switched on and off with

     @seealso
     @endseealso

 . Use something like

     @seealso
     @seeitem...
     @seeitem...
     @endseealso
