Okay. About the comments: For my tast, all of lilypond is much too little 
commented in the code. Unless you have a really good knowledge about the 
internal workings of lilypond and the build system, you have a really hard 
time figuring out what each file does and why it does it (this applies to the 
buildscripts, where the names at least give you some clue, as well as to e.g. 
the engravers, where you have to read through all files that are named 
similar to see what affects an engraver and what effects an engraver's action 
have).
