Hello,
I'm trying to build the docs from cvs source, because I'll need to
experiment when adding stuff for translations. The problem is, the docs
build crashes when processing the snippet 'utf-8.ly' with Hebrew,
Cyrillic and Japanese lyrics
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.7/Documentation/user/out-www/lilypond/Text-encoding.html#Text-encoding

I use Fedora Core 4, with all official updates, on a Celeron M
processor. If it can help, here are versions of software that is used to
build the docs (given by rpm -q):

guile-devel-1.6.7-2
guile-1.6.7-2

pango-1.8.1-2
pango-devel-1.8.1-2

tetex-3.0-6.FC4
tetex-xdvi-3.0-6.FC4
tetex-lgrind-3.67-9.fc4
tetex-latex-3.0-6.FC4
tetex-eurofont-1.1.3-5.fc4
tetex-font-tipa-1.3-2
tetex-bytefield-1.2a-1.fc4
tetex-dvips-3.0-6.FC4
tetex-afm-3.0-6.FC4
tetex-font-cm-lgc-0.5-2.fc4
tetex-fonts-3.0-6.FC4
tetex-doc-3.0-6.FC4

netpbm-progs-10.28-1.FC4.2
netpbm-devel-10.28-1.FC4.2
netpbm-10.28-1.FC4.2

I had the same problem with the gs8.15rc3 rpm from lilypond.org; I
installed esp-ghostscript 8.15 rc4 from source (because the RPM I found
required glibc 2.4 and I have only 2.3), plus Cyrillic and Japanese
fonts rpms. GS still crashes when converting the snippet to PNG.

If it matters, I compile and install as a separate user, with no special
privileges.

I tried to comment out the problematic snippet, but I got another crash
when building the pdf manual, so it's not a very good idea. There is
certainly something wrong in my configuration, but what? Should I try
another Ghostscript and/or GUILE version?

Here's the end of the 'make web' output:
