I agree. The current state where lilypond-snapshot is actually a
stable version should change, but being able to install both a stable
and an unstable version is really useful.


I agree. That's equivalent to what I was asking for. 2.4.2 is stable enough for me. I just don't want to go back to 2.2.6 if there is a problem with lilypond-snapshot.
