I can't reproduce this. lilypond-bin crashes when building a lot of
example files. You should try to find the command that causes the
crash. Once you have that, you can use gdb to show the stack trace.

/netrel/src/lilypond-2.2.0/input/test
If that succeeds, you may try the super-long command:
/netrel/build/lilypond-2.2.0/lily/out/lilypond-bin -I
/netrel/src/lilypond-2.2.0/input/test .... lily-1833163884 lily-1114332864
