I see the value of binding all together,
but splitting makes it easier for me as well.
Tags are a bit funny [...]
I actually did the svn to git conversion 3 times locally myself
(back when we were discussing it), but never managed to get the
tags converted correctly.
I looked at Christopher's work. I wonder if I can get away
with some bash script... Anyway, converting tags on Win32::API alone
is much less painful than converting all of libwin32.

I would suggest that you'll work on that repo instead of the big
libwin32 repo for now, and one of us should eventually convert
the other modules indo individual repos as well.
Good. That was my plan, so I can go forward, now that
we seem to have some momentum on the 64 bit mess. Cross fingers.
I'll get back to you once I've actually looked at your new
repos on github. I'm unfortunately way behind on keeping up
on the libwin32 stuff right now, but things should soon become
better (famous last words alert though).
No problem. I'll proceed on the Win32::API track for now.
