The trick is that this configure.ac is working just fine on lots of other systems. I'm seeing this in my ntp-dev repos; an equivalent tarball should be the 4.2.3p0 tarball at http://ntp.isc.org/bin/view/Main/SoftwareDownloads > And by the way, please use a sensible Subject:.
