Most likely has nothing to do with your issue.
Possible/likely causes would be helpful.
Well, do any of the mentioned installed .la files contain
libdir='/usr/local/lib'
instead of
libdir='/usr/local/lib64'
? If so, why? With the debug output, I should be able to say more.
