Well, we already know the results of AC_PROG_CPP, so we could just set
CXXCPP to whatever CPP is after calling AC_PROG_CC in our configure.ac and
all should be well. We do not actually care about the results anyway, so it
shouldn't matter.

On the other hand I could be in one of my little hallucinations and be
answering a question that nobody asked with an answer that wouldn't work
even if anyone had :)
