Hallo, this has been a topic on this list some time ago, but I could not find any satisfactory answers:
Libtool, when used from cygwin, creates paths in cygwin format, e.g., /cygdrive/c/libs/libfoo.la. The MinGW tools require paths to be in windows/dos format, e.g., c:/libs/libfoo.la.
