we've recently had a bug report about cross compiling kaffe for arm-linux. It turned out that libtool was picking the wrong libjpeg library, the one from the host system instead of the one from the target system. See the end of http://www.kaffe.org/pipermail/kaffe/2003-July/042988.html for a detailed bug report.
Apparently other have come accross this problem before. See this thread between H.J.Lu and Guido Draheim : http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/libtool/2001-10/msg00121.html . That was about 2 years ago. The thread petered out with a preliminary patch to fix the bug, available here: http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/libtool/2001-10/msg00127.html . Before I try to use it in kaffe, I'd like to know if this patch been reviewed or has it just dropped silently to the floor?
