Not for a while. First, we have to settle out all the fixes that
went into the mainline, but not MLB. (binary is MLB-current).

My vision, too, more or less. The interim problem will still need
addressing, if it is not too intractable. Perhaps detect a failure
and retry with another shell script wrapper, just to test for the
failure mode?
