BTW, do you get all tests to pass in MLB for AIX? I'm using xlc 5.0.0
(will update to 5.0.2 later today) and get the following failures on
powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0:
FAIL: mdemo-inst.test
FAIL: mdemo-inst.test
FAIL: quote.test
The patch does not introduce additional regressions for 1.4.
