Would probably make more sense to have this functionality as some sort of make target now, if we wanted to continue to have it. (It was esp. useful back when we made the code base warning-clean, to check that exported headers where warning-clean before trying to make cxx files warning-clean that included them. But I at least don't mind if it goes away.)
