Bugzilla main developer Frédéric Buclin already declared help in flags setup in bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33070. Flag mechanism could be used not just to nominate bugs to fix, blockers etc. but all other Bugzilla activities (bibisect, qawanted and other requests) and therefore not abusing whiteboard field.
