I just crossposted here to check about this, it's not a personal issue, just something that I thought was asking for sharing with Libreoffice-devs. I let it to the pandoc-list/John MacFarlane on how to handle this further (either adapt pandoc to work around and/or filing a bug and/or patching Libreoffice).
