Hi all,
the current import of csv data via Data Provider uses always a comma as
separator. I would like to give the user the option to define the
separator themselves. I think of using the field "Identifier" in the
"Data Provider..." dialog for that purpose. I can imagine to evaluate a
string entry with a single, printable character or the strings `{tab}`
and `{space}`.
Other ideas? Comments?
The feature "Data Provider" was implemented in 2017. In my opinion, the
implementation is ‘half-baked’. Many things don't work or are
incomplete. However, whether to remove the feature, would need a
discussion of its own.
