I believe that it's not very complicated, we have the start center
implemented as a special kind component, so we should do it similarly to
creating other components (like new documents). The thing to watch would
be some specifics how we manage the backing component's frame (we reuse
it for newly opened documents); we would have to check if having a
backing component along with other types of components doesn't give
surprises.
