Sorry, no other help then generic:
make extensions.clean && make extensions
of maybe: make extensions.clean && gb_FULLDEPS= make extensions
There is non-zero chance it will help.
Btw, what is output of:
make cmd cmd="\${GNUMAKE} -v"
