Having fresh look into this problem, I think we should come to nothing

I realize that it's a dirty hack and you can blame me for negligence
here, but if we want to follow the spec:
http://specs.openoffice.org/ui_in_general/menus/Menus.odt we must not
hide images / draw unchecked checkmarks. Surely someone can say that the
spec is outdated and needs to be rewritten, then I'd say that it's not
the best time for implementing new spec when we are testing the betas.
