We are trying to reduce our Java dependency - since it delivers a
terrible user experience in many respects. From multi-second application
freezes while starting the first Java using piece, to the 'javaldx'
wrapper, horrors debugging when Java is enabled, and so on. And that is
before running on Windows and getting plagued by dozens of "missing JRE"
windows.

The idea of creating multiple install packages simply pushes the
problem to someone else, and is particularly problematic for Windows,
which is already particularly problematic :-)

        All the best,

                Michael.
